The fundamental delusion is to suppose that I am here and you are out there

"confusing -
satori can never
be attained
by the mind it knows
it is mind"

the color of the wind

"How long will it be
my heart cannot know -
my black hair
is tangled this morning
just like my inner feelings"

"Entering deeply,
if I ask about
the path of the gods,
there is the tallest peak
and the wind in the pines"

NO CLINGING, NO SEEKING

"Desires and expectations are the sources of disappointment.
Don’t cling to them.
Do your work, walk your way."

birds always find their way to their nests, and rivers to the ocean

"Can anyone
know of our love?
If it could be known,
it would only be
by our silk pillow"

FROM THE WITHERED TREE, A FLOWER BLOOMS

"have no doubt -

tides have their own flowers

in spring inlets"

Haven't you already learned that all things change?

"old pond -
a frog jumps in
the sound of water"

No snowflake ever falls in the wrong place

“Bruised by the sun
a single leaf falls -
no wind”

Sitting quietly doing nothing, Spring comes and the grass grows by itselF

"The temple bell fading,
the scent of flowers comes forth -
evening"

heavy snowfall disappears into the sea. What silence!

a day of wind and moon"

Chop wood, carry water

"In the deep mountains
when dwelling in the moon
of the heart-mind
in this mirror I see
satori in every direction"
